The police officer said that on the afternoon of October 29, someone called the police and informed that a child’s head had been chopped off and thrown in the gutter of the public convenience toilet in Haiderpur. No other part of the child’s body was found during the search in the gutter. Police called crime and forensic team to the spot. The team recovered some evidence after investigating there.
The police took the body into custody and sent it to the forensic department for investigation. The police officer said that the body was that of a seven-eight month old newborn child. The officer said that the CCTV cameras installed around the incident spot have been seized. The police is trying to identify his family members through the footage. Also, the police is trying to find out through hospitals which woman had given birth to a child in this area.
